How to Bulk Upload Reels to Facebook

Upload many Reels at once instead of one by one: prepare the videos, list them in one CSV file, import them to one or many Facebook Pages, and let them publish on a schedule.

Quick answer

One CSV row per Reel

Facebook's own tools are built to publish Reels one at a time, Page by Page. To upload a batch, use a publishing tool with a bulk import. In Upnext, each row of a CSV file becomes one Reel: you add the caption, an optional first comment and a link to the video file, choose your Pages, and the Reels go to your queue or schedule.

For three or four Reels on a single Page, Meta Business Suite is enough. Bulk upload matters when you publish dozens of Reels, or the same Reels on many Pages.

1. Prepare vertical MP4 videos9:16, with captions burned in if your audience watches without sound.
2. Put each video at a public URLThe importer downloads the file from that link.
3. Build the CSVOne row per Reel: caption, optional first comment, video URL.
4. Import and choose PagesPick individual Pages or a Page Group, then preview the rows.
5. Queue or scheduleSet the spacing between Pages and between Reels, then import.
Step by step

Bulk upload Facebook Reels with a CSV

Step 1. Prepare the videos. Export each Reel as a vertical MP4. If a video is horizontal or square, convert it first with the free Facebook video resizer. In the Upnext Reel composer, each video can be up to 60 MB.

Step 2. Host the files. Upload the MP4 files to storage that gives a direct, public link to each file, so the link opens the video itself, not a preview page.

Step 3. Build the CSV. Use these columns. For Reels, fill reels_url and leave image_url and story_url empty:

message,first_comment,image_url,reels_url,story_url "5 phones under $300 worth buying","Full list: https://example.com/phones",,https://cdn.example.com/reel-01.mp4, "The trick hotels don't tell you","Read more: https://example.com/hotels",,https://cdn.example.com/reel-02.mp4,

Step 4. Import into Upnext. Open Create, then Bulk Import. Choose a Page Group or individual Pages, upload the CSV and check the preview: every row should show the Reel type and the right caption.

Step 5. Set the timing. Choose Add to Queue or schedule, then set the delay between Pages and the interval between publications. Spacing keeps the same Reel from going live on every Page in the same minute.

Step 6. Check the results. After the first Reels publish, open your Pages and the Upnext logs to confirm that every Page received its copy.

Limits to know

Before you upload 100 Reels

API publishing limit

Meta's Reels publishing API limits how many Reels an app can publish to a Page in a rolling 24-hour period, currently 30 per Page. Plan big batches over several days.

Original content

Facebook favors original Reels. Reposting the same clip on many Pages with no change in caption or angle tends to perform worse.

Links in Reels

Use the caption to send viewers to the first comment, and add the link there with the first_comment column.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I bulk upload Reels in Meta Business Suite?

Meta Business Suite is built around creating and scheduling Reels one at a time for a Page. It works well for a few Reels. For large batches or many Pages, a CSV import saves hours.

How many Reels can I upload at once with Upnext?

One CSV can contain many rows. Publishing is then spread over time with your queue and spacing settings, which also helps you stay within Meta's API limits.

Can I upload the same Reel to many Pages?

Yes. Select several Pages or a Page Group during the import. Upnext creates one publication per Page and spaces them with the delay you choose.

Can I add a link to a bulk-uploaded Reel?

Add it in the first_comment column. Upnext publishes the Reel and then its first comment.
